In the days of Elisha, Elisha said by the Word of the Lord, “Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.” It looked and sounded ridiculous. Overnight, the famine was turned to abundance according to the Word of the Lord. That’s how God works His own things, and if we are going to succeed in the plan and purpose of God, we must seek the mind of God concerning the strategy to use.
In the passage, Jesus was giving them the strategy on how they were going to have their needs met. They were going to preach, yes, but he told them how to go about their feeding. The same God that gives a plan and gives a commission also gives the strategy to execute His plan and His commission. God goes to this extent because He is the doer.
The Bible says in Psalm 127:1, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Hebrews 11: 10 describes God as the Architect who designed the building, and He is equally the Builder who sees to it that the building follows His design. God does not give the contract or the job of building His kingdom to anybody, and we must be careful not to take that job out of His hands. We are co-labourers together with Him. We are working together with Him, not working for Him.

PRAYERHoly Spirit, open my mind to the strategy I am supposed to use to fulfill the directions and the plans I have received for my life, in the name of Jesus.
